After working as an RN for 26 years, I switched careers – but not my medical focus. Being a Massage Therapist with Houk Chiropractic, I can provide healing care without the potential downside of pain meds. Here at Houk Clinic there is truly a team effort between the Chiropractors, the Massage Therapists and the staff to restore our patients to health.
Margaret comes with a personal experience of needing chiropractic and physical therapy at an early age. This led her to study physical therapy. In 2004 she graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program and has worked in Spokane as a PTA for twelve years. She decided to add massage therapy to her skill set in 2016 and has been with Houk Chiropractic since last fall of 2018. Her background allows her to offer a fusion of both skill sets to meet the clients individual needs in health-care.
Kad is a Licensed Massage Therapist with over 10 years experience working with sports related injuries. Being an athlete himself, he believes in the benefits of massage to help keep the body moving like it should. When clients finish a session with Kad they usually noticed mobility that they did not know was missing and they have a better mind & body connection to help them understand how limitations have developed over time and not overnight.
Kad takes an informed and evidence based approach with his practice; to ensure that his treatments are well rounded and functional for each client. His approach to treatment involves a full intake assessment to identify any conditions so that he is better able to treat his clients and focus on their specific and individual needs. Kad focuses on the prevention, rehabilitation and maintenance of those conditions and injuries as well as the relaxation and education of his clients. He offers home care plans that are individualized to each client to ensure that each of his clients can find relief at home as well as in the clinic.
